Trenham Gardens

Safety For Ltd were employed by Intium Construction Ltd to act as their Principal Designer Advisor for the construction of an additional 26 retail units at the Trentham Gardens Shopping Village for Trentham Leisure Limited.

As an expansion of an existing retail area, continuity in the design was key. Designed by GMTW Architects, the steel frame buildings were clad in Larch tongue and groove boarding, Western Red Cedar shingle roof tiles and Douglas Fir timber windows, all of which will age over time to match the appearance of the existing units.

With the Trentham Gardens remaining open throughout the build, site security, logistical management and site appearance were all key drivers of the project. Visions panels were installed in the site hoarding to allow members of the public the opportunity to see the units develop.

Completed in the summer of the 2017 the units were then fitted out by the incoming tenants.
