Tesco Hednesford

A new 80,000ft2, Tesco is the flagship store in the 10 acre retail scheme, part of a £50m regeneration of Hednesford Town centre, comprising two distinct area; Victoria Shopping Park and Chase Gateway.

The Safety For team acted as CDM-C for the whole project which was completed in 2013. The project provided some interesting challenges including the major re-alignment of the main traffic routes and demolition of numerous buildings and structures.

The project also had some difficult program issues with multi-disciplined contractors undertaking works consecutively in a restricted town centre location. Safety For Managing Director Mark Dyche played a key role in the coordination and completion of this project, working with Prosurv Consult who were providing Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.
